Q: Speck inside iPhone 5S camera?
I recently became the owner of my dad's iPhone 5S, he's with Vodafone and gets upgrades, so when my iPhone 4S started to die on me, I took his 5S.
It's been banged around bit, there's scratches all over the rim and also some on the back, from where its old case scratched it. The screen is shattered, but I'm getting a replacement for that soon. There's also dirt and dust EVERYWHERE, stuck in all its crevices and stuck to the sides of the inside of the phone, and I've tried to clean it to the best of my ability.
Recently though, I noticed a speck of dirt whenever I took photos with the rear camera. It believe it only started showing up yesterday, because I can't see it on any of my older photos, unless I've deleted them. In the iPhone's own camera app, it doesn't appear until I view the photo later, but it can be seen in videos before I even start filming. It can be seen in WhatsApp's camera, as well.
You can see it here in this photo of a desk:
I did notice numerous specks of dirt inbetween the glass and the camera, so I opened up my phone, removed the camera and used a microfiber cloth and a can of compressed air to clean both the glass and the lens of the camera.
This got rid of the numerous specks I saw, but the big one remained. (That photo is from directly after the attempted cleaning, but it looked the same before.)
Anyone got any advice? I've seen a lot of people talking about this with the iPhone 5, but never anything about the iPhone 5S, and I haven't seen any solutions at all. Did I clean it wrong, or am I going to need a new camera? That'd be annoying, since I've already dished out cash on this phone to get a new screen/lcd.
iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.5
