How do i get more VRAM?

I have a macbook pro 15inch (mid 2010) , with version10.11.5 (15F34). I downloaded photoshop which is buffering and i spoke to adobe who checked i need more v ram at least 512mb i have about half that amount available. How do i upgrade it? I get a pop up on photoshop as well that says "updating the driver of your graphics card may resolve the issue"


my graphic card info -NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256 MB

.Everymac.com has this to say about how your VRAM is set up:

dual graphics processors -- a NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 256 MB of dedicated GDDR3 memory and Intel HD Graphics with 256 MB of RAM shared with the system -- that Mac OS X automatically switches between for better graphics performance and better battery life, respectively, depending on application use.

when you invoke Photoshop, it will want to use the Nvidia graphics processor for filters and special effects. Since that has a dedicated 256 MB of RAM it cannot be expanded. Updating the driver will not change the amount of dedicated RAM, it is fixed in Hardware.


The way to get more is to convert that Mac to CASH by selling it, and buying a Mac that better meets your needs.
