Bluetooth is unreliable on my MacBook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.5. Often it just lets go of my wireless headset and/or my mouse and I have to restart. Anything I can do?

Bluetooth preferences may be corrupted ...
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.
Then follow the instrctions here > OS X Yosemite: Set up a Bluetooth device
Try resetting the NVRAM and SMC.
