Colour peeling from Space Grey version of Apple watch?

Just wondering if there have been any recent updates regarding the peeling on the underside of the Space Grey version of the Apple watch around the Apple logo, and if it is still happening. If it is still happening has it been sorted prior to the release date of the series 1 & 2 versions.

I was considering purchasing this colour but have started to think again.

Mac mini (Late 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Instructions include keeping the watch clean and dry and cleaning it after workouts or heavy sweating:

Apple Watch is covered by Apple's One Year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship - or for two years if AppleCare+ is also purchased.
