iphone backup password lost

Hi all,

I too forgot my password for my iPhone backup in iTunes. I spent a lot of time on this forum and also trying a huge array of passwords to no avail. I read in one of the replies that from my computer, I should backup my old phone (iPhone 6S) to the iCloud on my computer, which I did. I then switched my SIM card to the new phone (iPhone 6S) and did a restore from my new iPhone of the backup I just did from the old phone and I was able to do this without using a password. I am back in business. It did take a while for all the pictures to come back, but besides for a few iPhone app passwords I am still trying to figure out, I am all good.

I did have a question. So I have forgotten the iTunes backup password. I think I set this years ago and never needed it up until now. Is there a way to start from scratch with my iTunes backup? I have all the data I need and would like to start fresh with a new password (written down and filed away). I hope this explanation is sufficient.
