Q: update will not install

On my mac mini I tried to install the latest update and my mac will not restart.  the message to restart comes up but it still will not.

    I performed the update and my new iMac did not restart. I had to force power off and the restart didn’t happen. I tried again and the computer did restart but I have no confidence in the update. Today the iMac went black while my wife was using it, I’m preparing to go out and try to see what is going on and was hoping to find some help here…perhaps later?

    Shut down the computer using the power switch and then restart.

     

    Try running the combo update. It installs all previous updates plus the new one, which can replace any files that may have become corrupted.
