Hello! My computer's login screen is acting weird. The colours are darker and the cursor is moving slower than usual. It started after I updated my MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015) to OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

If that happened to me, I would try a Safe Mode startup as that goes through some additional system checks.
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support

Apple has not released OS X 10.12. The currently released OS X version is 10.11.6.
I strongly recommend against using un-released software to try to cure any issue.
Thank you for answering my question. I tried Safe Mode startup as you suggested. The colour of my name isn't grey anymore but the screen is still acting weird. I'll try to describe what I mean by 'acting weird'. When I click on my name it blinks for a second. The movements aren't as smooth as they used to be. I feel like the Safe Mode startup did help, although the problem isn't fully solved. Should I repeat the startup?

Do you have FileVault enabled?
With FileVault enabled I get two login screens after restarting my MacBook. The first one has the glitchy & slow graphics issue but the 'main' login screen does not.
I'm using FileVault and have encountered the same thing with the login screen. Happens on my MacBook Air and a MacBook Pro 13 that I used to use, as well. It's irritating because the backlit keyboard doesn't light up, either. 😟
Updated to Sierra. Weird log in screen is gone!
Try upgrading to OS X 10.12!
If that dosen`t work, you can look at the other replies.

I am having the same issue here. It's not a huge deal, but the cursor is very lagged after rebooting when I am going to log in. The font of my name is all greyed out.
I have a 2016 12" macbook.
Yes, I have FileVault enabled and it is exactly how you described it. Out of two login screens the first one is acting weird but the second one (the 'main' one) is ok.
