Q: Remove some photos from my iPhone
The pictures on my computer are in Photos for Mac. I use albums and keywords to sort and find and it works great. Problem is I want to keep all my photos in Photos for Mac, but I don't want them ALL on my iPhone. If I try to delete a photo from iPhone I get a message saying it will be removed from all my devices. If I try to "hide" it, it still puts it on my phone, in the hidden album AND in the "all photos" stream. It only hides the photo from the Collections view. (Not sure what use "hiding" a photo has).
So, appreciate any help with how to keep photos in Photos for Mac on my computer, but be able to select some to not be on my iPhone. Hoping this can be done without turning off the Photo sharing all together.
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.3

It sounds like you are using iCLoud Photo Library - if you are then you can not remove photos from an y device - the only reason ICPL exists is to sync all devices keeping them identical - all changes (additions, deletions or edits) made on any device are made on all devices - for devices with limited storage you use optimized photos on those deices
If you do not want all devices to have identical libraries then do not use use ICPL - do manual syncs using iTunes sync for selective syncing
