Power Button Dead, iPhone 5 won't turn on

iPhone 5 Make 2013

iOS 9.3

Power Button feels functional but yields no results

So the story starts one night when the iPhone went to 0% battery. I quickly plugged it in and knew there lay trouble ahead, for the power button had been broken for some time. While I searched for ways to turn on the iPhone without using the physical button, the iPhone began charging. It displayed this screen. In many online forums, the solution is to simply wait until the iPhone had enough charge and it supposedly should turn on automatically when connected through an USB port (PC or wall charger).

This did not happen.

The iPhone is still charging, with the battery indicator stuck at around 90% full for the past 3 days. I cannot turn it on as the power button is broken. I cannot boot it through USB as it does not turn on. Any solutions?

Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If needed find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple.

If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken

Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model. You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple: You can make an appointment at the Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar and take it in for service. You can also look for an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple.
