Q: loan scam
To make a long story short -
I applied for a loan at personalloans.com and someone contacted me the next day with an offer... someone pretending to be them, they somehow convinced me that to prove I had enough to cover the 1st months payment in my account, I needed to go get a proof of income card at the dollar store. I was picturing some kind of slip or something, didn't know they had those. And he insisted he stayed on the phone with me, he told me to go to the gift card section and put $249 onto an iTunes gift card that would be refunded right back to me, not sure how I believed it, I was sick and a bit out of it at the time and he seemed to have an elaborate answer for everythinh, he asked for the code and what do you know I never got my money. This was just yesterday, I called him back and said I knew this was a scam and I couldn't believe I even fell for that and they hung up on me. Beware of this scam. I am now out $249, the gift card was redeemed instantly, I was already in a bad financial situation and now I am off even worse.
