Q: highest resolution supported at 60hz on new macbook in closed lid mode
I have the 2016 Macbook 1.2Ghz 512Gb drive. I want to use it in closed lid mode with a 27 inch external display when in the office. What is the highest resolution display supported at 60hz on new macbook in closed lid mode. Also i am assuming the apple digital adapter with HDMI is the way to go? 2560x1440 would be ideal?

The MacBook's technical specification mentions supporting 3840 x 2160 at 30Hz. I don't know about 60Hz.
