iphone won't turn on even looking at the help artical

my name is sidnea herren and i had problems with my charging of my iphone ever since my brother gave me his and now i started charging it since 9/10/16 at 2:00A.M. and it still hasn't turned on we tried everything and its still not turning on what do i do do i need to take it to a apple store or is there a way that i can fix it so i can use it again i only use it for wifi because its not on a plan and i play games and talk to my dad on it if you can help me i would be forever greatful

What exactly have you tried to see if it gets it to turn on ? If you have tried 'everything' then obviously there isn't anything that anyone can do to help.

You've tried a soft-reset/reboot ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the ‘slide to power off’), after which the Apple logo should appear.

And a different cable and charger ?
