Q: Can I use old zip drive with Imas 10.11? What do I need to do this?

Can I use an old 100MB zip drive with Imac 10.11? What do I need to make this happen. Prefer to use cd rather than download.

What bus is the zip drive configured to use?

Does your iMac have a port for the bus structure?

There were three different connections used by Zip drives.

Parallel - only usable on Windows PCs

SCSI - usable on very old Macs and old PCs

USB - usable on newer Macs and PCs and still usable on current Macs

The 250MB ZIP drive is backwards compatible with 100MB discs. If your drive has the wrong connection have a look on eBay.
