The latest security update cause malfunction in streaming on acorn tv. The iOS devices use the acorn tv app and son't have this problem. But the macs access acorn tv directly form safari. The same type of malfunctioning happens on iOS devices is you access acorn tv directly from safari- it is definitely a safari problem that started with the security update.

I don't have apple tv and my sony vega may be to old for it. This streaming problem only happens to episodes/movies I have already watched. However I have developed my own work around for my problem with safari in streaming previously viewed programs, I use my iPad air 2 and the acorn tv app to start the program. I need about five minutes to go beyond the introduction with the credits. Then I exit the acorn app. Use my iMac and safari to access acorn tv and the show with the 5 mins shows and I click on play and continue to watch on my mac. With IOS 10 and Sierra both coming out this month, perhaps acorn is waiting to see if this problem will fix itself with these new system updates. I know I am not the only person with an acorn subscription using safari having this issue.
