Q: Apple Watch series 2 compatibility

I am wondering if the new Apple Watch is compatible with the iPad mini. I don't have a cell just an iPad with LTE. I rarely use the phone (don't need to use it when I M out and about), but I could definitely use the watch for organization and health apps.

iPad Mini, iOS 9.3.5

Considering the first gen was only compatible with a phone it's very likely the 2nd gen will be as well.

If you scroll all the way to the bottom it says it requires iPhone 5 or later

I don't believe any of the watch products are compatible with iPads.
