Stripped screw!

So I have this 15" MacBook pro I received in 2011 for college- it worked perfectly fine all these years, never had an issue. This year, the battery finally kicked the aluminum bucket; lasted as long as I thought it would. I figure, hey, why not purchase the correct battery, replace it myself, would otherwise be an easy process except for one thing: I unscrew all necessary screws with the exception of a single stripped one.

If I take it into an Apple store, would they be able to remove this one screw for me? Would that by itself cost anything at all?

It's definitely not under any warranty, but would that make any difference?

I'm really not looking to tamper with it on my own, but is that gonna be a last resort? :/

Any answers/ advice, super appreciated!

Stripped screws happen all the time in the automotive world. So there are tools and techniques available. The only problem will be finding one small enough to do the job on the very small screws in your computer.

They make devices for left-hand drilling out the head. Once the head pressure is relieved, the body of the screw comes out easily. In the US, try a larger Sears store.
