Q: Macbook pro won't charge

I'm a student and I have a Macbook Pro 15' inch laptop from 2011 which I use for educational purposes.

Recently, one of my fellow students managed to accidentally crack the screen in the bottom right corner which ended up spreading across the screen. My family is having money issues at the moment so we will not be able to get it seen and fix it because the price to fix it is over $1000.

Ever since then, my macbook pro would not charge. It was working perfectly before but now it isn't.

I have already checked the charger and bought a new one to see if it was the problem, but it was not.

Please, I need a solution ASAP as I have an assignment due in a few days and all my data is on that laptop.
