Q: Macbook 12 inch - stuck keyboard in Burma

Hello all,

I am currently in Myanmar and my new macbook 12 has the "a" key stuck and is not responsive as before. It still works, but I need to press it a certain way in order for it to work.

Now, the issue is that I am in Myanmar, or Burma - and there is no support here - the closest would be Bangkok and while I am due to go there soon, I won't be there for another month or so.

I purchased the macbook in thailand and is still under warranty.

Question 1:

How do I contact apple care from Myanmar? There is no Myanmar service here and I can't seem to find an email or chat option.

Question 2:

Can I go get my macbook serviced in Bangkok, even if there are no apple store there? (ie get serviced in an authorized store)

Question 3:

Is there any tips on how to make this work for the coming month that I could do to make my life a bit easier?

Thank you all!

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

    Hi minhboo,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!  I understand you are having an issue with the "a" key on your MacBook.   You indicated that your computer is still under warranty in Thailand, where it was purchased.

The resource below provides some troubleshooting steps you can try for your Macbook keyboard:

One or more keys on the keyboard do not respond

    To answer your questions:

    1.  You would need to call Apple Support for Thailand, where your MacBook was purchased.
          Thailand  001800 4412904

    2.  The link below will provide information for Apple Authorised Service Providers in Myanmar.  You would need to enter your full address, city or postcode, and select Myanmar for the country to see your service options. https://locate.apple.com/asia/en/

    3.  In the interim, you can attach a wired keyboard to your MacBook.  This would be the least expensive option.  Or, if you have access to a bluetooth or wireless keyboard, that would be another way to go.

    Take care.
