Follow all the steps, even if they seem inapplicable or trivial. Make no attempt to remove the battery since your Mac's battery is not removable.

Sep 12, 2016 8:20 PM in response to cchevreby John Galt,Under the circumstances I recommend returning the Mac for a refund. You already ruled out the MagSafe power adapter, so the likely cause is faulty hardware that will be expensive to repair.
Although a variety of causes are possible, the most common reason for the symptoms you describe is liquid damage for which a repair is almost always economically unjustified. For a definitive diagnosis though, please make a Genius Bar appointment: http://www.apple.com/support/repair/
Provided you followed fundamental electronic repair principles, I doubt replacing its hard disk drive with a SSD caused the problem.

Sep 13, 2016 5:39 AM in response to John Galtby cchevre,I had already planned to go to the Genius Bar and ask for a diagnostic to know if the computer had any damages caused by the previous owner. I don't think the problem could have been caused by the upgrade I made but the computer seemed to be in pretty great condition inside. No clear sign of oxydation caused by liquid, really, nothing seemed wrong. Maybe I am just really not lucky and accidentally shorten up a circuit, and if that is the case, it was not my lucky day, because it's defenetly not the first time I make this kind of procedure and never encountered any issue.
We will see how it goes, fingers crossed I find a viable solution.

If the Mac's battery is causing the problem, evaluation, parts, labor, and a one year guarantee is only $129 US + tax: Mac notebooks Service Pricing - Apple Support.
If the problem is something other than just the battery, Apple will explain your options.
