Q: MacBook Pro - OS x 10.11.6 - Track Pad malfunction

19" MacBook Pro - OS x 10.11.06 - TrackPad

Suddenly unable to drag to select with Trackpad.  All other function working normally.  Is it possible that only one of the many functions would stop working or might the problem be a glitch with OS x update?
