Q: How to resize a window to take up entire screen without dragging?

Ok, so I have a macbook pro running El Captain.

Sometimes when I'm using Chrome I accidentally hit something or click something that makes the window smaller. (I couldn't figure out what it was that I pressed but it basically just makes the window small, just like if you drag the corners of the window in)

To get it back to normal, I have to drag the window to line up with the top left of the screen, and then drag the bottom right of the window until it takes up the full screen.

It may not seem like that big of a deal, but it takes up a few seconds, which is extremely annoying considering that it happens pretty often.

Is the any button I can click to auto resize it for me? I cant click the fullscreen button because I don't want it to be in fullscreen, just to take up the whole screen, starting from the toolbar at the top, to the dock at the bottom.

Thanks in advance

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

sure, let me get that info for you, On the top left you should see buttons, one makes it go away one brings it back, and one makes it bigger,-the one with the arrows pointing outward...ah, I see, I have found a litte more info for you:

at the top right, on the Google chrome screen, you should see an icon that looks like a stack of papers, on mine, it looks like 3 dots lined up, this is the menu button, and can zoom in, zoom out, and if you want to use fullscreen mode, press cloverleaf, control and f keys together

    hope this helps you
