While Home Sharing is on: music plays on iPhone, Mac's iTunes won't?

Hey everyone!

So I just learned how to listen to my Mac's iTunes Library with iPhone through Home Sharing but while I play songs in iPhone, the music in my Mac's iTunes won't play? They just buffer... I guess? Does this have to do with my Disk's space? Or my internet connection? Or is this the way it is?
