Q: Text forwarding iOS 10 to iOS 9 (third generation iPad)

I plan on upgrading my iPhone to iOS 10. I have a thirs generation iPad, so I'll be stuck on iOS 9 there. Will the text forwarding from the iPhone to the iPad still work, even though they will be on different operating systems. I'd hate to lose the ability to text my non iPhone friends from my iPad.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.5

    The answer to your question, at least from me, is I don't know. Regardless, I would be very surprised if that were the case. You will find out on Tuesday however, either by updating yourself or revisiting here once iOS is out and users are able to test. Hang in there.

    Apple has given no indication that it will stop working.
