Q: El Capitan - scheduled startup won't turn off
I'm running El Capitan on my desktop mac, and I've been having an extremely obnoxious problem. I inherited this computer from my office, and my boss had set up the automatic schedule under the Energy Savings settings to start up the computer every weekday at 7 AM. I don't want it to do this anymore. I've un-checked this settings I don't know how many times, I've changed the time to later in the day, I've deleted the autowake.plist file and restarted ... no matter what I do, the schedule keeps getting changed back to auto startup every weekday at 7 AM.
I believe it might have been using this schedule when I first got it and I upgraded it from the older OS to El Capitan. Might it have been something to do with doing this upgrade while that schedule was turned on, somehow cementing it into place?
Anybody else have this issue? Any solution? I'd prefer not to have to reinstall my OS but if that's what needs to happen...
