Q: Photos won't set as default library

I've manually transferred my iPhoto library to Photo's on my new macbook. Unfortunately any application i use does not recognise the photo's library. i.e. when I try to add a photo on FB or pages and click under the 'pictures' section or 'media' it show's the Photos library but it's faded so it won't open.

i've checked under preferences and it is set as the default library.

Anyone have any ideas on what i can do?

Thanks in advance.

You do not (and never have) directly access the Photos library - you only use the media browser (under media ==> Photos ==> PHotos

You set the system library in the Photos preferences - when the option is grayed out it is the system library
