entourage 2008 IMAP

After having tons of issues in the last year with entourage 2008 (hotmail address) downloading the same emails over and over again, i did some research. It stated that if I changing from a POP server to IMAP is the only way to stop this from happening. so have tried to set up entourage for my hotmail using the IMAP server and I can't get ti to work.

I removed the POP account.

set up an IMAP using

imap-mail.outlook.com

port 993

SSL

smtp-mail.outlook.com

ssl

port 587 and i also tried 25

smtp requires authorization same as incoming

it seems to lof into the account and looks like ints going to download the emails and then it doesn't and also doesn't send.

any thoughts? also i'm not very computer savvy so....
