Can you elaborate on the Mac Pro model you are referring to? You do understand that the iMac has nothing to do with the Mac Pro, they are separate models and the are different model years. What are you trying to update? What Mac OS X version is the Mac Pro running?

I have a MacPro.  I am using it now.  When I try to update OS X El Capitan 10.11.6, because I have .5, message says:

"update unavailable with this ID, either because it was bought by a different user, or item was refunded or cancelled".

    Does this help?

At this point, have you tried any troubleshooting? Do you have multiple Apple ID's?

    Restart?

    Disk Utility > First Aid?

Log out of App Store and log back in?

Yes, that is what happened. I changed my apple ID.  Now updates are taking place.  Thank you so much!
