I'm receiving a notification on my phone that must change unlock code??

I have now received a notification twice that I must change the unlock passcode on my iPhone, and my phone will not let me do anything else until hit and continue and change the passcode. I have checked with other family members who also have an iPhone and no one else has ever seen this message.
