Will the ATI Radeon 5770 graphics card support a 34" display at 1440 resolution?

That card will easily support displays up to the Apple 30-in cinema display at 2560 by 1600.

The issue is never physical screen SIZE, but horizontal and vertical resolution.

Ok, I'll ask the question: the display is 3440 x 1440 pixels with 21:9 aspect ratio. Would it drive this?

No, 2560 by 1600 is pretty much as high as that card with that chip on it can go:
