Recently my wife acquired my old computer and a new iPhone. The name of both the computer and the iPhone were changed in system preferences on the Mac and in 'about' on iPhone settings. However, both Macs and the new iPhone are registered using my ID and name with Apple. My new computer is using the name I used on the old computer (now my wife's). When using airdrop to transfer photos (or anything else) the new names do not show up in the airdrop window. The transfer is successful but when both computers are present two identical computer names appear on the airdrop window. The same problem exists with my new computer and old iPhone.
My question is how do you change the name of a Mac or an iPhone so that the new name appears in airdrop?
