Sep 12, 2016 1:40 AM in response to Jorge_Zuritaa36by léonie,iPhoto is no longer supported. You cannot download any iPhoto updates from the AppStore any longer.
The only version still available is iPhoto 9.6.1, the most current release. You can update to this version,
- if your Mac is running El Capitan or Yosemite OS X 10.10.3 or newer, because this iPhoto version requires the newer systems.
- And if you already own an AppStore version of iPhoto. It needs to be showing on the Purchased tab of the AppStore (not the Updates tab).
Only if iPhoto is in your Purchases history you can update by reinstalling, once you upgraded to a newer system.
But if you upgrade to a newer OS X, I would no longer bother with iPhoto, but migrate any iPhoto Library to the new Photos for Mac, Apple's current photo software, that is well supported and will be installed by El Capitan. iPhoto is a dead end now and Apple started to deprecate features. You can no longer purchase print products from iPhoto, for example.
