Cannot shut down my Mac and Upload App          my System OS X 10.11.6 (15G31)

    - What exactly happens when you try to shutdown viat select Shutdown?

    Try pressing and holding the Power button until the Mac shuts down. Then try booting in Safe mode (boot with Shift key depressed). and see if y can shutdownlon for the menu from Safe mode and then try booting  normally and see if normal shutdown works

    - What do you mean by "Upload App"?
