Sep 13, 2016 7:11 AM in response to Lars0204by dwb,★HelpfulLithium Ion batteries have no memory effect and it is perfectly ok to plug in your computer when it is convenient; there's no need to wait for the battery to be depleted first. Similarly, there's no need to wait until the battery is fully charged before unplugging it.
There are two simple rules to follow: 1) when you get the message that the computer is on reserve power do put it to sleep as soon as possible. Running the battery down to 0% is not good for the battery. 2) Don't keep the computer plugged in all the time. Although this doesn't sound like a problem for you, do be sure that at least once or twice a month you use the computer on battery.
