Q: Numbers Sort Capabilities (Macbook Pro mid 2009; OS10.11.6; Numbers 3.6.2

I have been searching but cannot find an answer to:-

If I have added a sort column then how do I delete one or more of the selected rows/columns in the sort - or even just reset my sort options?

I see that I can undo a sort up to a limit but not how to modify it as I need.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)

to delete any column, select the column, then click the down-facing arrow ("\/") that appears when you hover over the column header:

Then select the menu item "Delete Column"

    Hi Terry,

I don't think I am understanding your question. Can you provide a screenshot of your sort column and wht you are wanting to modify?

    Do you mean this?

The trash can appears when you hover in the right spot. Clicking the trash can deletes that sort.

Thanks to all - SG's answer looks like it - I guess I did not phrase my question very well?  Anyway - now I know what to look for!

For people who regularly go to the Sort & Filter panels the phrasing was clear.  And it's really easy to miss that trash can, which only appears when you hover in the right spot.

Note that when you are doing simpler sorts you can also go to the contextual drop-down menu that appears when you click the "v" to the right of a column letter.

    Thanks for the green check!
