View photos in black and white.

Hi all

How can a stop photos changing my imported black and white RAW photos to colour after importing them? I want to view them in photos in black at white but photo keeps changing them to colour. When they first come in they are in black and white but after a while they change to colour.

Thanks in advance.

RAW photos are not black and white. They contain all the information the sensor gathered when the image as taken. Part of that information are the settings on the camera, like the fact that you set the camera to monochrome. Photos either can't (Because it is camera proprietary) or does not want to honor that setting.

If you shoot RAW+JPEG the JPEG will be black and white and the RAW will still have all the color information.
