Q: osx 10.6.8 iChat can't login Because the id and pwd is incorrect.then i can login at osx 10.9.5 and height

Dear all partner,

 

I was getting the error message while i login iChat at osx 10.6.8.But i can login 10.9.5 and height version.

    adds:

     

    when i let the account online it will reminder me input a pwd. when i send it always reminder me input correct pwd.

    Hi,

     

    Check the Server Settings tab.

     

    If the Original Login was on port 5223 and using SSL then the "new" set up will need to do the same.

    Thank you for your response. but there is useless for it i have try . i set up the account same as OSX 10.9.5 while it always show the error "ichat cant log in to XXXXXXX.com because your login ID or password is incorrect."

    Hi,

     

    I just re-read that and see I have got it the wrong way round.

     

    If it works in OS X 10.9 and higher  then you need to check the server settings to check what Port it is using and whether it is using SSL.

    You may also need to compare the other 4 selection you can make.
