Sorry, but your issue has nothing to do with Apple networking. You may get better results in getting a potential solution if you re-post to either the Notebooks or Mac OS & System Software areas of the Apple Support Communities.

In the mean time you may want to consider getting an external CD/DVD drive for your MacBook Air.

    Hi, Tinafromny,

To put a completed iMovie project onto a DVD (not CD) you need first to share it to your desktop as an Mp4 movie.   Then, you drag/import that movie into a DVD authoring program like iDVD or Toast. From there you can burn it to a DVD disk.  You would need to purchase an external DVD disk burner, like Lacie, that you can plug into your computer.

Apple doesn't any longer sell iDVD, but you can purchase it from a third party vendor like Amazon for probably around

$50 dollars.   It would be part of the iLife '06 package, or perhaps iLife '09.  Toast I believe if for sale on the internet, and you just need to Google it.

    Hope this helps.

    Best,

        Rich
