Q: iMac has been shutting down & restarting

I noticed other users having similar problems. However, I have been experiencing this problem even before the recent security update. It occurs randomly while in use, but more likely to happen during signing in and switching user accounts. Any one out there knows how to fix this please? Thanks.

Please post an EtreCheck report of your system. We can then look for obvious issues. Please click the link, download the app and run the report. Once you have the report, please copy and paste it to your reply to this post.

If you would like more info on what EtreCheck is, simply click the link and you will find a description of the app.

    Thanks.

Is it safe to post the complete report? What risk I might run into? The report is very long, do you need the whole report or just certain sections?

It is completely safe and is commonly used on these forums. There is no risk, if for some reason you do not want to do this then I cannot help you and then my recommendation is to take the computer to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider to have it looked at.
