How to fix rapid error noise/flashing cursor?

Hi all. Recently one of our Mac Minis in the office has been encountering a strange issue. It seems to occur randomly during the day under normal operating conditions. All of a sudden the cursor will begin flashing and become less responsive as well as a repeated rapid error noise as if we've entered something wrong on the keyboard. The sound is confirmed to be coming from the speakers. We are running a wireless keyboard and seperate numpad as well as a wireless mouse. Could this be a bluetooth issue?

Specs:

Yosemite 10.10.5

2.6Ghz i5

16 GB RAM

250GB SSD

Mac mini (Late 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Could be due to interference.

As a test I would tried a wired KN and mouse and turn off the numpad.

I'll give this a try. Only thing is the problem happens randomly. Should I wait until the problem is occurring to switch out for the wired peripherals?

Your choice. If y can get by with only a wired KB and mouse and no numpad I would change and see what happens. Interference can be sporadic and the interference may be gone after switching
