Netflix Quits on Apple TV-hardwire connection

Using newest AppleTV with latest software. Hard wired connection. No trouble with Apple App, or Hulu, or other. Netflix, however, quits in the middle of a program or movie and returns me to main menu. Once trouble begins, it occurs more and more frequently until Netflix is unwatchable.

I have: rebooted; deleted and reinstalled the Netflix App; used Netflix successfully on every other device in the house including TVs, computers, iPads and iPhones without problems; confirmed a good connection/speed; adjusted netflix preferences on-line to go from auto connection speed to high. Did I miss anything?

My present solution is not to use the AppleTV for netflix but this is inconvenient, and makes me want to disconnect the AppleTV altogether, as it has no advantages (such as highest resolution) over other devices on TVs.

Has anyone else had this problem? Since every other app works fine, it doesn't seem likely that there is a hardware issue

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7), Hitachi RAID card also present

Pretty sure I already did this, and had to re enter passwords on every darned app. But, I'll try it again. The time it takes to accomplish this is worth more than the device. I'll let you know what happens. While I do this, perhaps you can tell me if I can use any of my existing Apple devices (have pretty much all) to enter data (as the remote is terrible).
