Q: Headphone issues!

Hello! Today I opened a brand new pair of the headphones I had from my previous iPhone and the quality seems so different from past iPhone headphones, almost cheaply made. Comparing the two (old and new pair) there are major differences! I always use whatever pair I currently have opened until I can't anymore. Openeing my new pair I thought ok the cords look thin but they should still be fine...after all they are from Apple. I plugged the new pair in my iPhone 6s Plus and the end breaks off! I'm so disappointed because this has never happened.
