Q: uploading and albums

trying to upload photos to shutterfly, but my separate albums are not showing up. I can select "albums", however all it shows is all the photos I have taken. I have made separate albums for trips, sports, kids, etc. How can I get my albums to show up so I can upload specific albums and photos without having to sort through thousands of photos?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Yes, this is where I am looking, but my individual albums are not showing up. I see "moments, collections, years, shared, albums" but when I select albums, I see every photo I have and I get the little rotating circle at the bottom left and things often freeze up and I cannot do anything until I cancel that. I cannot view a webpage or any other action on my computer until I cancel trying to access my albums.

Click on the gray triangle to the left of the work=d albums to open he list of albums in Photos - click of the specific album you want and select the photos and upload

It can take a long time for the album section to populate, after you open it, if your library is large.  Usually I go for a cup of coffee, and when I return, the albums will be there. How long have you waited, before you cancelled the media browser?

Don't cancel it - let it finish - until it finishes you will not see your albums - patience is a virtue

Well....I realized the box where the photos show up can be changed in size. I brought that down a little and voila...there were my albums! I just got this OS a few months ago after my hard drive crashed, so I am still learning how the manage the photos as it seems different than the OS I had before. Anyway, thanks for the help!

Good luck with the new OS and the new hard drive.
