Q: My iMovie doesn't open.

My iMovie doesn't open. It's trying to update but nothing happens. I clicked on it and it just says "waiting" underneath it. I tried deleting it. Any suggestions?

    Hello Mabes_G,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that your iMovie isn't updating and seems to be stuck in "Waiting" status. There are a few things that you can do to resolve this and get it downloading.

    1. A simple restart can help. Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until the Power off slider appears. Power it off, wait for about a minute or two and then turn it back on.

    2. Go to the App Store on your iPhone, locate the iMovie app. Download the app.

3a. Sign out and in to the App Store. Go to iPhone Settings > iTunes & App Store. Tap your Apple ID and select "Sign Out" from the menu.

3b. Open the App Store, from the Featured page, scroll to the bottom and tap Sign In and use your Apple ID to sign in and log in to your account.

    4. Try to download the app again.

    Best regards.
