Time Capsule - Problem with Backup

Most of the issues are network.. and the error messages may not actually clearly identify between a disk problem and network issue.

I bought the airport time capsule little over a year ago (in Sweden).

How long has this problem been going?

In Europe your warranty period maybe 2 or 3 years by law.

Certainly if you have AppleCare on a supported product.. computer, ipad or apple TV the TC will be replaced by Apple under warranty. Just explain your problem to them.

If you do not have access to warranty or replacement.

I strongly recommend you archive your TC disk if there is anything on it you need.. then do a single pass low level format. You do this from airport utility disk tab. Archive is there.. then the erase.

Erase use the one pass option.

This is a low level drive format. (Don't bother with 7 and never even dream of using 35).

If the problem continues once you restart the backup I suspect network issues.. or the TC is failing.. mine (3rd one in 3 years) has just gone the same way .. I pulled the disk and replaced it with a better brand than the base model known problematic seagate Apple used.
