Using Multiple Bluetooth Keyboards & Trackpads

I use a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2013) running OS X Yosemite v10.10.2 and use my MacBook at home and work for business/personal purposes. I have bluetooth keyboards/trackpads at both locations with a large monitor so I can sit down and work from either location.

I'm having bluetooth connective issues when switching from one keyboard/trackpad combo to the other. Some times it works but more often then not when I switch from one location to another bluetooth will not connect to the keyboard/trackpad combo unless I reboot the computer. Sometimes I have to reboot twice for it to ultimately connect. Both combo sets are listed on the bluetooth device list. I've tried cycling the power on the keyboard/trackpad but it still will not connect.

I've looked for a solution already posted as I thought this would be a similar set up for others but I could not find an answer to this issue. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
