Sep 12, 2016 11:41 AM in response to Paketa86by JimmyCMPIT,Apple has not posted specifics, you would need to find a technical journal and some of the technology maybe proprietary and Apple is not going into detail yet, or ever.

Sep 12, 2016 11:43 AM in response to JimmyCMPITby Paketa86,I would personally like to know how something works before I start using it. This is most definitely true for most people.

Sep 12, 2016 11:44 AM in response to Paketa86by ChrisJ4203,I would be interested too, but all that is there, and what was in the keynote is everything everyone knows right now. And, as Jimmy has said, I suspect there is a great deal of proprietary information, as well as patented IP that you won't get to learn about.

Sep 12, 2016 11:47 AM in response to Paketa86by JimmyCMPIT,I don't think it is, most people don't know or care to know how an internal combustion engine works, and the vast number of them own a car.

Sep 12, 2016 12:04 PM in response to Paketa86by Michael Black,Just do a simple internet search. Engadget, CNET, EE Times, PhoneFaq.org and only about another dozen other tech. news sites have multiple articles on the W1 chip. Read those and you'll know as much about it as anyone here could know.
Apple itself is extremely unlikely to release great details of their proprietary chips and technology. You won't find detailed information of the new A10 mobile CPU either, not from Apple.

Sep 12, 2016 12:38 PM in response to Paketa86by lkrupp,Bottom line it is still standard Bluetooth. The W1 chip is NOT some new protocol or wireless technology. It’s an enhancement of regular Bluetooth. Your statement about “harmful Bluetooth” makes me think you imagine you have a health issue with Bluetooth technology. That’s nonsense.
