Q: Charging Mac Book Pro
Am I able to charge my Mac Book Pro in countries outside of the US without buying a power inverter?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 9.3.5

The only adapter you should need would be one that changes only
the 'physical shape' -- just the prongs that make a connection...
So any travel store or electronics store should have an adapter.
There are no additional electronics in this kind of adapter.
There are several shapes for different regions in Apple Travel Kit:
• About Apple World Travel Adapter Kit - Apple Support
When you travel, you can use the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit
to charge your Apple products in different countries. This type of
kit does not contain any electronics, so it is a passive converter.
Some countries power socket may require some very different
adapter end that fits the MagSafe adapter; or an Apple localized
extension cable that has correct end for MagSafe + Local shape.
Usually I rely on the extension cables mostly, they don't unplug
by themselves; these simply replace the small part that comes
off the MagSafe. For the desktop models, any physical adapter
(without electronics) should do. Or a localized Apple cable; one
intended for that region which fits the device & the local supply.
Good luck!
