Areca RAID Card and early 2009 MacPro

Looking for anyone who has experience using Areca RAID Cards in any MacPro model. Ideally the early 2009 one. I'm planning on using the ARC-1214-4i with 4x8TB SATA HDDs. Any feedback much appreciated.
