Q: imac 4k Retina Display issues for blinking

Hello all, I have bought an imac 21.5 inch 4k retina display couple of month ago. Sometimes when i boot it, the screen starts to blink for couple of minutes until it gets stable, then i can log into my user account. I dont know what is wrong with it. Tried SMC and PRAM reset or os x update but nothing worked till now. is there anyway to solve this issue ?

    You have 90 days of complimentary AppleCare phone support and a 1 year warranty. If I were in your shoes, that is where I would go to first for help rather than a forum.

    The fact that "blinking" happens boot suggests there's a hardware issue of some sort. If you purchased the machine from Apple, you can still use phone support - but realize that their ability to help you may depend on your being able to replicate the issue - which in your case might be difficult.

     

    However, I'd suggest trying to record the problem if you can, and describe it in painstaking detail (i.e., "on boot, machine blinked on and off for 25 seconds; I noticed the same thing on 9/10, 9/1, 8/25, 8/24, etc. I haven't noticed any other software or hardware problems."

     

    Getting into the habit of writing a diary of this kind of issue might help another user to come up with an answer.
