adding to family share plan
I want to add my husband to our family share plan. He has purchased A LOT of music over the years, will this be lost if he joins the rest of the family?
His music shouldn't be lost if he joins your family share, it should remain on his devices and/or computer's iTunes libraries (and on his backups of his library) - and as long as the music is still in the store, and he hasn't moved countries since buying it (and he hasn't hidden it), it should also show on his id in the Purchased sections for you, and anybody else in the family share, to potentially download as well.
